Some days just STINK!!

I got up this morning, got ready for work, and went out to my car. I was not excited to see that there was frost on my window but at least there is not the snowfall that we were supposed to have. As I started the car I looked down at the passengers seat and saw a long skinny glass bead. I thought it was interesting, I don't have any jewelry like that, I wonder where it came from. I picked it up and realized that it looked like a piece of windshield glass. I was staring at my frosted over windshield so it could not be that. I started to look around and there it was, my back passenger window had been broke out. There is glass all over the inside of my car. The pictures say the rest. They are supposed to fix it Monday as long as there is no rain or snow, so if you live in Spokane I would count on Monday being a wet one.

Birthday Dinner

Going out to eat on my birthday is a joke so we went out tonight. We decided to go to the Shogun. It is a Japanese restaurant. It is one of those places that they cook the food on a grill in the middle of your table. It was fun and quite good. When you walk in there is a bridge over a little pond.

I went with some of the ladies from work and other friends. Mom, Andrea, Carol, Cindy, Cindy's daughter Jill, and Jill's friend Julie. Then our cook came to cook our food. What a wild time. There was strobe lights, gongs, and flying food. This was our fried rice heart. I know it is blurry but it was dark in there.
The best part was the FIRE!!!! A few of us were a little nervous about our excessive amount of hair care products setting us a blaze.

Then there was the singing and a costume.......yes costume. A lady came and put a fancy scarf on me and then the "wig". It was crazy (I kinda loved it though). I would have loved to show up to work in that wig.
They brought out my pineapple boat, which was the best dessert I could have asked for. I added the umbrella for a little flare (as if this getup was not crazy enough). We had a good time especially listening to the Saki contests get a little slower and quieter as they got a little drunker. What a fun place and a fun night.

Starting something different

I am going to give this thing a try. I have been thinking about it for a while and thought I did not have anything interesting. This maybe true and it maybe some time between postings but I will give it a try.

This weekend was my b-day. What a fun weekend. I make it a rule not to go out on V-day because everywhere is crowded and I don't really want to watch people make out. I had the stomach flu a couple weeks ago, I don't need a repeat of it. I decided a night at home eating pizza in my PJ's sounded great. I went to Papa Murphy's to get a cowboy pizza (that is the closest thing to a man). When I placed my order the girl asked me if I wanted a heart shaped pizza......what the heck, I should make at least a slight attempt at something slightly V-day'ish. I have hated the holiday for many years and thought it would be much cooler to be born on a holiday like April fools or Halloween. Weird I know. Welcome to me. Anyway, I did do something fun for myself. We have a baker in our building at work (Sweet Dreams) and I ordered a Chicken Cake.....yes a chicken cake.

And yes she has a three stone diamond necklace....I am still a GG I had to get that in there some how. Plus she had root beer icing...uummmmm root beer. =P

My parents got me the coolest thing. It is an edible arrangement. Everything is food. The greenery is kale, there were strawberries, pineapple, apple dipped in chocolate, cantaloupe, and grapes. It was very good. I wish there was a place like this in the Tri-Cities it would be my gift of choice.
I had many other great gifts from friends and family and am blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.
The best part is the fun is not over yet. I am going out with friends next weekend, and in the next couple weeks a friend and I are supposed to go out to lunch and then hit the antique malls. I am not an antique junkie (unless you are talking about jewelry) but you never know when you are going to find a great stereoscope slide. =)
